The Little Craft Shack
What is your blog name and how did you come up with it?
The Little Craft Shack. We are a NEW online marketplace for handmade gifts, coastal crafts & artwork.
We are a small business but hope from our little acorn, a mighty oak will grow. We strongly support local artists and crafters and offer them a platform from which to sell their gifts.
What are the interests you blog about?
We love our local coastline and inform our followers about all sorts, including beach clean events, we often share photos of sunsets, surfers on stormy oceans and, of course, any craft events we are involved in. We are supporters of the Litter Free Coast & Sea, 2 minute Beach Clean, surfers against sewage and the growing campaign against plastics in our oceans. Some of our crafters upcycle materials to make their gifts. It is a great thing to see a piece of junk turned into a desirable object.
What does a typical day look like?
School Run, walk on the beach or yoga class. Check emails, upload to our website, check an outlet for stock and contact our crafters as necessary.
What hours are you open?
We are predominantly an online business, so 24/7 really.
How many people are behind your blog? Who are they?
We are 2 ladies, Loz & Kat, who met through our children starting school.
Loz tends to deal with the website and social media side of the business and Kat liases with our crafters and arranges the events we attend.
When did you launch?
What's your favourite part of running your blog?
